Disney’s Hannah Montana: The Movie will be coming out earlier than expected!

The movie was originally set for May 1, 2009, but according to MTV News, Disney has pushed the release to April 10, 2009.
Now the movie is in competition with the Japanese anime mega-hit Dragonball movie, which will be release on the 10th as well. The movie was formally set to be up against X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which is destined to be a hit at the box office.
But, we still have our doubts on if the Hannah movie will still take the #1 slot at the box office.

The Suite Life On Deck actress, Brenda Song, has been rumored to be a fourth Cheetah Girl, in a possible fourth installment of The Cheetah Girls series.
“We have a dream of an Asian theme. The Cheetah Girls in China, with Shanghai nights full of songs and dance,” Kiely Williams has stated.
The two, and Adrienne Bailon, become really good friends while doing the Disney Channel Games 2008.
It sounds like it could be better than One World!
Hopefully, if they do a fourth Cheetah Girls movie, Brenda will be apart of it!

In the episode, "Doin' Time in Suite 2330," Zack and Cody are grounded and forbidden to leave their suite, so Maddie steps in for Cody as producer of London's internet show, "Yay Me." Julie Brown ("Camp Rock") guest stars as Alex's teacher, Miss Marinovich, in an episode of "Wizards of Waverly Place" premiering SUNDAY, AUGUST 31 (8:30 p.m. ET/PT).

In "Art Museum Piece," Alex leaves her class during its museum field trip to attend Harper's homemade jewelry sale and when she returns, she must magically bring the museum paintings to life to help her complete the class assignment. But she finds that getting the paintings back to normal isn't so easy. Meanwhile Jerry and Max use a spell to create a football that can fly through stationary objects without breaking anything.

"The Suite Life on Deck" is a spin-off of the Disney Channel Original Series "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody". While the first spin-off, Arwin!, was not picked up by Disney Channel, this show skipped the pilot process and went straight to series. Brenda Song, Dylan and Cole Sprouse and Phill Lewis will reprise their roles for the spin-off. Ashley Tisdale who play the candy counter girl Maddie Fitzpatrick will not return as a regular, but may guest star on occasion. Kim Rhodes will make a guest appearance in the first episode at the very least, but it is unclear at this time if she will be a regular or even guest star on the spin-off. The show is currently filming and will premiere on September 26, 2008. The show will be set on a cruise ship with the brothers and London attending a high school-at-sea program, while Mr. Moseby manages the ship. Five new characters are added to the lineup. It is possible for Nia Moseby to appear in this show as well seeing as Mr. Moseby is now her guardian. Brenda Song stated in an interview that as the ship travels the world, Disney Channel stars from other countries will make guest appearances.

Disney will re-brand its Toon Disney television and online platforms in the U.S. to become Disney XD. The new brand will include a compelling mix of live-action and animated programming for kids age 6-14, hyper-targeting boys and their quest for discovery, accomplishment, sports, adventure and humor. The transition will begin in February 2009 on television, online, mobile and VOD platforms. The programming will span series, movies and short-form, as well as sports-themed programming developed with ESPN. The announcement was made today by Rich Ross, President, Disney Channels Worldwide. The channel is a 24-hour, advertiser supported network and currently reaches nearly 70 million households via its basic cable affiliates.

Over 50 Disney Channel stars from around the globe convened at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida for "Disney Channel Games," featuring comical relay races, grand scale obstacle courses and all-out fun challenges in five special half-hour telecasts, "Disney Channel Games," to be presented each week beginning SUNDAY, JULY 27 (8:00 p.m. ET/PT) on Disney Channel. Hosted by funny-man Brian Stepanek ("The Suite Life of Zack & Cody"), the games are fun, colorful and larger than life, but the competition is real and the young competitors are determined to win the prize -- the Disney Channel Games Cup. The special telecasts are highlighted by a post-Games concert featuring performances by Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, The Cheetah Girls, Demi Lovato and Jordan Pruitt.

Each of the four subsequent "Disney Channel Games" 2008 special telecasts will be presented Saturdays (8:00 p.m., ET/PT) through August 30.

In the premiere telecast on Sunday, July 27 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT), the stars are divided into four teams -- The Comets, The Cyclones, The Inferno and The Lightning – and Team Captains are chosen. Then they must build a chariot and race it to the finish. At the post-games concert, Miley Cyrus performs songs from her new album "Breakout."

On Saturday, August 9, Disney Channel stars must match their rival teammates to their baby pictures or face making a splash in the dunk booth. The telecast features a performance by Jordan Pruitt.

On Saturday, August 16, the teams hunker down for a human foos ball match and the Jonas Brothers, Dylan and Cole Sprouse, and The Cheetah Girls all face off in an intense "Tug of Four" competition. At the post-games concert, Demi Lovato and Jonas Brothers perform.

On Saturday, August 30, the teams compete in the UltraMegaUltimateObstac-tacular Relay Challenge, racing in giant hamster balls while maneuvering through obstacles. The "Disney Channel Games" 2008 Closing Ceremonies features a concert by The Cheetah Girls.

Disney Channel will premiere the new comedy series "The Suite Life on Deck," a spin-off of the hit Emmy-nominated "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody," on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 26 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT). Starring fan favorites Dylan and Cole Sprouse, Brenda Song and Phill Lewis, the series introduces 15-year-old actress Debby Ryan. She will also be featured in a series of video blogs debuting Friday, August 29 (7:55 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.

The new series finds Zack and Cody aboard the SS Tipton, a luxury passenger cruise liner owned by London's father. The ship cruises the world with tourists and students who attend classes at Seven Seas High, the one high school that London's dad thinks will make his daughter a better student. While out at sea, Zack and Cody still have their compass pointed towards mischief, and London learns to live a "fabu-less" lifestyle, including sharing a small room with Bailey, a country girl from Kansas.

Reprising their roles from the hugely popular sitcom "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody" are Dylan and Cole Sprouse as Zack and Cody Martin, Brenda Song as London Tipton and Phill Lewis as Mr. Moseby.

Newcomer Ryan's video blogs document her journey to joining "The Suite Life on Deck" cast. They include her first audition in Dallas, Texas, her first episode taping in front of a studio audience and a sneak peek of the new series.

Original Cast Won't Be Back For HSM 4!

Ashley Tisdale talked to Access Hollywood about how hard it was that last day filming the new Walt DIsney Pictures’ movie High School Musical 3: Senior Year. “We went into the last day thinking, ‘It’ll all be fine ‘cause we’re all really good friends and we’re so close,’” Tisdale recounted to Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush for an interview airing on The Billy Bush Show tonight. “It wasn’t even the last scene — we couldn’t even get through it. We were crying and just so emotional over the whole thing.”
And as Ashley has said before, she’s fairly sure the whole cast is moving on after this.
“We’re so attached to each other,” Tisdale explained “We’ve had such fun doing these movies…. It’s like working with your best friends all the time. It’s definitely something that’s tough to leave and say goodbye to.”
And as Tisdale added, they won’t be back. “I heard they’re going to do a High School Musical 4, but we have nothing to do with it,” she said. “I think we’re all doing other projects and moving on.”
This is very sad…definitely for hardcore HSM fans!!!
So, expect to see a whole brand new cast for High School Musical 4, which will air sometime next year on Disney Channel.
It’s gonna be weird not seeing Zac, Vanessa, Ashley, Corbin, Monique, and Lucas, not being in the fourth installment of HSM.

HSM 4: The College Years A Reality?

The future for movie's stars - Troy Bolton (Zac Efron) and Gabriella Montez (Vanessa Hudgens) - seems uncertain, with both characters set to go their separate ways at the end of their senior year.Disney bosses hoping to make more money from the couple’s relationship are looking at making a sequel that will follow the lovebirds as they embark on their freshman year in college with more adult problems and their adventures as a couple going to 2 different colleges and living in California. If this 2010 tv movie becomes a reality, then that would mean shooting scenes in California and no East High unless the keep the plot of making Troy and Gabriella visit their old high school and having flashbacks of their previous year at East High.According to a report in The Enqurier, Troy and Gabriella will attend different universities, but they soon start pining for each other and at the end of the movie will re-unite at their old High School where the romance first started.Anyways, Disney should focus on getting High School Musical 3 out of the way, before trying to come up with future HSM projects so quickly. There is plenty of time for that.
