"Raven-Symoné" Planet Premiere!
DISNEY CHANNEL GAMES 2008
MIley Cyrus is set to participate.
Here's the rest of the lineup confirmed to date: Joe Jonas, Kevin Jonas, Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, Alyson Stoner, Jasmine Richards, Anna Maria Perez and Roshon Fegen of "Camp Rock."
Jason Earles and Moises Arias of "Hannah Montana."
Adrienne Bailon, Kiely Williams, Sabrina Bryan and Kunal Sharma of "The Cheetah Girls One World."
David Henrie, Selena Gomez, Jake T. Austin and Jennifer Stone of "Wizards of Waverly Place."
Dylan Sprouse, Cole Sprouse and Brenda Song of "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody." (Brian Stepanek will serve as host.)
Kyle Massey and Jason Dolley of "Cory in the House."
There will be Disney Channel stars from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, France, Germany, Italy, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and Japan.
The games will be played 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on April 28, April 29 and May 1 at Disney's Wide World of Sports at the Walt Disney World Resort. The schedule for May 2 is still to be determined.
"We're inviting people to come and watch, but it's a working production," said Adam Sanderson, senior vice president of brand marketing for the Disney ABC Networks Group. "It's not staged as a sporting event."
He said there will be "plenty of seating" in the grandstand.
"We can't have regular kids on the field," Sanderson said. "The talent will be walking around, playing the games. I think we'll have some video screens again. They'll be able to see the talent, and the talent often comes over and signs autographs and takes photos."
The celebrities will play for charities: Boys & Girls Club, UNICEF, Make-A-Wish and Starlight Starbright.
Sanderson said the challenges this year will be visually bigger so they come across well on television. The games will air as five half-hour shows starting in late July.
"Everybody is out there to have fun," Sanderson said. "It makes for great programming. Our audience gets to see more of them as real people. It's cool that you get to see them out there being regular teens."
Peformances from a May 3 concert, which is sold out, will be incorporated in the half-hours.

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL ...4?
The original cast of High School Musical is currently en route to Utah to begin filming the third installment of the hit Disney franchise, but the head honchos are already thinking of a fourth film. Disney Channel worldwide president Rich Ross says writers are already at work on another sequel, but admits the stars' growing pricetags means it's likely a new crop of fresh-faced teens will take their place. This all, of course, depends entirely on the ticket sales of HSM 3 when it hits theaters in October
Tour Speculations
DULUTH – Raven-Symoné, who began her career at age 2 on "The Cosby Show" 20 years ago, was set to embark on a 55-date tour that was scheduled to make a stop at the Arena at Gwinnett Center June 18.
But on Friday, April 18 she released a statement that she is postponing the tour and hopes to make up the dates.
Raven-Symoné has literally grown up in the public eye, going on to appear on the show "Hangin' with Mr. Cooper" in the mid-90s and on her own Disney Channel show, "That's So Raven." Her most recent film was the Disney movie "College Road Trip," starring her alongside Martin Lawrence. She's set to release her self-titled album April 29, and recently took time from her busy schedule to answer some questions about the tour, her album and life as a star.
-So where are you checking in from?
I'm actually jogging through the park right now, then going to the gym. I'm getting in shape for my upcoming tour. We're doing three weeks of rehearsal before hitting the road.
-What can fans expect at this Pajama Party tour?
I'm going to be up on stage wearing my pajamas and my fans should come in their favorite pair. The set is decorated like my home, which has a very India and Morocan kind of style. One of my favorite things to do is sleep, so it'll be like I'm coming home every night to sleep.
-You have your self-titled album coming out later this month. Tell us a little bit about it.
There are a lot of fun tracks on it. It's definitely a party album. I had some amazing writers and producers helping me out on it. I'd have to say that the story on the album continues with my message of self-confidence and being comfortable with who you are.
I'm shy about my personal life, and this is a great way for me to talk about it.
-You seem to be involved in all sorts of projects right now, from TV to movies to music, what are some upcoming projects on your horizon?
My baby right now is my Web site, www.ravensymonepresents.com. I'm always adding new content to it. I love to cook, so there are a lot of cooking videos on there as well as other helpful tips and how-to videos.
I'm also looking to get into merchandising and publishing as and I'm looking over some movie scripts right now. I'd like to get into directing one day. I had the chance to direct an episode of "That's So Raven," but I didn't have the experience and I want to be respected, so I held off.
-You've done a lot of comedic roles during your acting career, do you have the desire to do dramas?
I like where I am with comedy right now. If I do a drama, it has to be something that really touches me. I did one dramatic role, on the Lifetime movie "For One Night."
-You've worked with some really famous comedians starting, of course, with Bill Cosby, but then guys like Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence. Have they influenced your comedy?
They've most definitely influenced my comedy but also me as a person. They taught me to be professional on set and to always give it my all.
-So you're from Duluth, but live out in L.A. right now. What's it like to come home to the Atlanta area?
I'm straight out of Duluth! I love this place, but don't get to come back as often as I'd like. Whenever I'm home I always love to visit my friends here – I went to North Springs High School – and just hang out. I don't think we'll have a lot of time on this tour for me to stay at home, though. I definitely have half a heart for home.
-What do you like to do for fun away from your busy schedule?
I love to paint and cook plus I box all time. As I said before, I also love to sleep as much as I can.
-What is it like being on tour?
It's fun. We have a bus for the performers and we all sit around playing video games – I love Mario on the Wii. We don't get to see a lot of the cities we visit because we travel during the night, get to the arenas to do a sound check, then perform that night.
On off days we usually go out and catch a movie.

Raven Cover's Jet Magazine!
‘”I have to stay true to who I am’, says Disney star Raven-Symoné, 22, regarding her new self-titled CD, which is slated for release April 29. ‘I am not going to sing about sex, drugs and violence, that’s just not who I am’, she continues. As she prepares for the CD’s release and a 55-city Pajama Party concert tour, the confident and talented entertainer hopes this project will fill a void in today’s music. We need some music that will open people’s minds up and give them other things to think about other than the same things we have been giving them for a while. Maybe my album can do that.’While the 5-foot-2-inch singer-actress stays true to her music, she’s also staying true to her image by being comfortable with her size. ‘When I look in the mirror and see how voluptuously fabulous I am, I can’t even worry about it. I am just fabulous.’”
Thanks to Raven-Symoné SOURCE

DISNEY'S "CAMP ROCK" WEBSITE
The official website for summer's highly anticipated Disney Channel Original Movie, "Camp Rock," goes live SATURDAY, APRIL 19. Fans can immerse themselves in an online "Camp Rock" experience with the movie's characters and access exclusive content, listen to music clips of the soundtrack and watch music videos, take character quizzes, play games and browse the character profiles of the DCOM's stars -- Joe Jonas, Kevin Jonas, Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, Alyson Stoner, Meaghan Jette Martin, Jasmine Richards, Anna Maria Perez de Tagle, Roshon Fegan and Jordan Francis. The site also offers the bonus of complimentary "Camp Rock" screensavers, buddy icons and t-shirt iron-ons.
The music video for the movie's anthem "We Rock" will premiere at 8:55 p.m., ET/PT.
Starring Platinum-certified Hollywood Records recording artists and Top 40 and Radio Disney hit-makers Jonas Brothers (Joe, Kevin and Nick) and singer/songwriter/actress Demi Lovato (of Disney Channel's "As the Bell Rings"), "Camp Rock" is the story of a talented yet unsure teen who yearns to share her songs with the world, and of a tempestuous young superstar who's lost his passion for music and is sent packing by his band mates. Together, at a camp for aspiring young music artists, they learn to believe in themselves and to value the freedom to be who they really want to be.
Disney Channel's "Camp Rock," a celebratory, song and dance-filled Disney Channel Original Movie for kids and families, will premiere on Disney Channel, the ABC Television Network (as part of the “Wonderful World of Disney” franchise), ABC Family, Radio Disney and Disney.com, Friday, June 20 through Monday, June 23 in the U.S. It will also premiere on Family Channel Canada and on Quebec's VRAK.TV (dubbed in French) on Friday, June 20 and on Disney Channels around the world beginning in August.

"Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream"
TO PREMIERE IN SPRING ON DISNEY CHANNEL
Interstitial episodes will feature the band with their parents and brother Frankie at rehearsals, life on the tour bus, performing on stage and relaxing with activities ranging from indoor sky-diving to go-kart racing.
This past year, Jonas Brothers completed a sold-out U.S. headline tour and a sold-out arena tour as special guests of the Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus Best of Both Worlds concert. They returned to the road January 31 with a sold-out solo concert tour, breaking the record for fastest sell out in the history of the Gibson Amphitheatre and the reality show cameras came along. The band’s sophomore album, "Jonas Brothers," released in August 2007 by Hollywood Records, debuted at #5 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and has already been certified platinum. Five Jonas Brothers songs are on Radio Disney's Top 30 chart, and when the brothers were guest DJs on Radio Disney on July 25, listener call volume spiked over 300%. Their single "S.O.S." went to #1 on the iTunes chart and, when added to the playlist at powerhouse radio station Z100 in New York, became the #1 most requested song overnight. Their current single, "When You Look Me in the Eyes," is already top 10 with no signs of slowing down.
In addition to their music careers, 20-year-old Kevin, 18-year-old Joe and 15-year-old Nick will star in "Camp Rock," a music-filled Disney Channel Original Movie scheduled to premiere this summer as part of the blockbuster Disney Channel Original Movie franchise. They are also scheduled to begin production on a live-action series for Disney Channel.
