WORLD PREMIERE OF DISNEY'S "CAMP ROCK" ROCKS NEW YORK CITY (June 11/ 2008)

New York, NY, June 11, 2008 . . . Fans surrounded the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York City tonight for the world premiere event for the highly-anticipated Disney Channel Original Movie "Camp Rock." The movie makes its television debut Friday, June 20 (8:00pm ET/PT).
Stars of the movie and other notable guests walked the high-energy event's rockin' white carpet, one lined with over one hundred media from around the world and thousands of kids and tween-age fans.

"New York really turned out to embrace us'" said Joe Jonas, one of the Platinum-certified Jonas Brothers and a star of the movie. "I love the songs in this movie, and I can't wait to share them with our fans." Demi Lovato, the singer, songwriter and actress, also starring in the movie, seconded the sentiment by adding, "Being here in New York for my first premiere event is beyond anything I ever expected I am looking forward to the world watching the movie and listening to the soundtrack. When I first heard the music to 'Camp Rock', I couldn't stop listening to it. And to sing with Joe Jonas was so exciting that when I listened to the playback for the first time, I cried."

Parents of Disney Channel fans were among the one thousand guests. They included Stephen Baldwin, ABC News' Deborah Roberts, Bob Woodruff, Martin Bashir and Bill Ritter, ESPN's Mike Greenberg and Jeff Zucker.

The stars of "Camp Rock" were the guests of honor: Hollywood Records recording artists and Radio Disney chart-toppers Jonas Brothers (Joe, Kevin and Nick), Demi Lovato (of Disney Channel's "As the Bell Rings"), Alyson Stoner ("Cheaper by the Dozen"), Meaghan Jette Martin, Anna Maria Perez de Taglé (of Disney Channel's "Hannah Montana"); Jasmine Richards ("Naturally Sadie"), Maria Canals-Barrera (of Disney Channel's "Wizard of Waverly Place"), Daniel Fathers, Roshon Fegan, Jordan Francis, Giovanni Spina, Aaryn Doyle and screenwriter/actress Julie Brown.

"Camp Rock" is the story of a talented yet unsure teen who yearns to share her songs with the world, and a tempestuous young superstar whose lost his passion for music and is sent packing by his band mates. Together, at a camp for aspiring young music artists, they learn to believe in themselves and to value the freedom to be who they really want to be.

The global premiere schedule is as follows:
*Tuesday, June 17 – "Camp Rock" on-demand preview begins on Disney Channel on Demand, a video-on-demand service available to Cablevision iO Digital Cable, Time Warner and Verizon FiOS TV customers. The "Camp Rock" soundtrack from Walt Disney Records.
*Friday, June 20 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT) – "Camp Rock" premiere on Disney Channel U.S. with an audio simulcast on Radio Disney and a video simulcast on Sprint and MobiTV devices. Movie also premieres on Family Channel in Canada and VRAK.TV in Quebec.
*Saturday, June 21 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT) – Premiere on the ABC Television Network
*Sunday, June 22 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT) – Premiere on ABC Family
*Monday, June 23 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT) – Premiere on Disney.com in DXD
*Saturday, June 28 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT) – "Camp Rock" Rock-a-Long programming event on Disney Channel (song lyrics visible on screen and via DisneyChannel.com)
*July - Premiere on Disney Channels Latin America (dates to be announced)
*Tuesday, August 19 – Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment releases "Camp Rock" on DVD, with exclusive bonus features, in the U.S. and Latin America. It releases around the world beginning in November.
*August – Premiere on Disney Channel Japan (dates to be announced)
*September – Premiere on Disney Channels UK, India, Southeast Asia, Korea, Taiwan, Spain, Portugal, Germany, France, Italy, Australia and New Zealand (dates to be announced)
