TO PREMIERE IN SPRING ON DISNEY CHANNEL
BURBANK, March 20, 2008 . . . "Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream," a short-form reality series about the Platinum-selling phenomenon Jonas Brothers, will provide Disney Channel viewers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look into the on- and off-stage lives of talented singer/songwriter/musicians Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas on their trajectory to worldwide superstardom. The series is scheduled to premiere in spring 2008 on Disney Channel, it was announced today by Gary Marsh, President, Entertainment, Disney Channels Worldwide.
"The Jonas Brothers are an unstoppable force that has exploded onto the music scene. We are thrilled they have allowed us this unprecedented access to document their journey to superstardom," said Marsh.
Interstitial episodes will feature the band with their parents and brother Frankie at rehearsals, life on the tour bus, performing on stage and relaxing with activities ranging from indoor sky-diving to go-kart racing.
This past year, Jonas Brothers completed a sold-out U.S. headline tour and a sold-out arena tour as special guests of the Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus Best of Both Worlds concert. They returned to the road January 31 with a sold-out solo concert tour, breaking the record for fastest sell out in the history of the Gibson Amphitheatre and the reality show cameras came along. The band’s sophomore album, "Jonas Brothers," released in August 2007 by Hollywood Records, debuted at #5 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and has already been certified platinum. Five Jonas Brothers songs are on Radio Disney's Top 30 chart, and when the brothers were guest DJs on Radio Disney on July 25, listener call volume spiked over 300%. Their single "S.O.S." went to #1 on the iTunes chart and, when added to the playlist at powerhouse radio station Z100 in New York, became the #1 most requested song overnight. Their current single, "When You Look Me in the Eyes," is already top 10 with no signs of slowing down.
In addition to their music careers, 20-year-old Kevin, 18-year-old Joe and 15-year-old Nick will star in "Camp Rock," a music-filled Disney Channel Original Movie scheduled to premiere this summer as part of the blockbuster Disney Channel Original Movie franchise. They are also scheduled to begin production on a live-action series for Disney Channel.
